Description
At Salsa International we teach a blend of modern, innovative styling with more traditional international contributions. We embrace all salsa traditions, and we teach on1 'track' style, Cuban style and NY style on2, training novice social dancers in a supportive and social environment. Our students develop solid skills and an appreciation for Latin rhythm while having fun, building confidence, and working to create their own personal style.
We have been in midtown Manhattan for several years now. The neighborhood's culture, nightlife, and exuberant energy is like nowhere else on earth. Before class you just might catch a Broadway show's rehearsals - afterward you can head to Times Square or enjoy the culinary delights of Restaurant Row. Then NYC's Latin nightclubs beckon!
We are committed to the notion that not only can anyone learn to salsa dance, but that everyone brings something to the dance as well, whether they know it or not! We provide high quality classes in a relaxed setting where anyone can get acquainted with his or her inner dancer.
Social dance can touch your life in so many ways. There are the obvious physical benefits that come with all exercise, which in this case increase as you become more advanced, but the emotional and social benefits are unparalleled. The music is energetic and uplifting, and the interactive nature of the dance can truly take you away. There is a lot of laughter at SI, and a whole new world to explore once you enter.
